What Are the Top Three Things to Take to Yoga Class?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

If you are starting your first Yoga class, you are on your way toward better health and wellness. Over time, you will progress in mind and body as you learn to relax and accomplish different poses and techniques.

Practicing Yoga can produce great results in overall flexibility and discipline as you continue through the various levels. Most beginners need only a couple of items for their Yoga workouts. These items will help you maintain your focus on your technique and will create a safer environment for your Yoga poses.

The top three things you should bring to Yoga class are:

1. Yoga mat – Your Yoga mat should be at least.25 inch thick, textured and designed with a non slip face. Thinner mats do not support you as well as you engage in the different poses and will tend to be less comfortable on the hard floor..Typical mats should be about 24 inches wide and 60 to 72 inches long.

2. Yoga Towel – A premium brand towel will absorb moisture quickly and assist in keeping you stabilized as you go through your poses. Yoga towels can also keep your mat cleaner and more sanitary as it keeps the sweat from penetrating the mat surface. This will aid in keeping your mat in better shape and free of body odors over the long haul.

3. Yoga socks – Yoga Toe Socks are athletic socks specifically designed for Yoga or Pilates workouts. Each toe is separate for added control and specifically designed with rubber bottoms to keep you from slipping off your mat. Some designs will even have a visible line across the base of the toes to allow you to visualize proper form and placement of the foot.

In conclusion, you Yoga kit should include a mat, towel and Yoga socks to help ensure proper form and safety during your class.

How to Keep Your Yoga Mat Safe and Less Smelly

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

If you are considering Yoga as a way toward better health and wellness, it can be a fulfilling journey as you evolve into the different levels. Over time, your mind will become more in tune with the body and allow it to relax and accomplish different poses as you progress into the various levels.

Practicing Yoga can be very rewarding and provide a good workout as you progress. As with any workout, your body will begin to sweat and cause you to slip off the mat when doing various techniques. This is common and can be a major distraction during the workout.

Your mat can become slippery from the moisture and can be somewhat dangerous of you do not take care of this issue. A Yoga towel is recommended to alleviate the issue very quickly. This is not your typical beach or bath towel but specifically designed for Yoga workouts.

A premium brand towel will absorb moisture quickly and assist in keeping you stabilized as you go through your poses. Some will have an additional feature of small nubs on one side that will help keep the towel from slipping on the mat.

Yoga towels can also keep your mat cleaner and more sanitary as it keeps the sweat from penetrating the mat surface. This will aid in keeping your mat in better shape and free of body odors over the long haul.

In conclusion, a Yoga towel is a popular complement to your Yoga mat and will help ensure a safer environment for your workouts.

Store Review – Forever 21

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Forever 21 (F21) is one of those stores that people seem to either love or hate. I will admit, upon entering my first F21 store, my first reaction was, “This place is cheap, and I’m not just talking about the prices.” However, after perusing numerous stores & websites for a particular style in fashion at the time (to no avail), I decided to give F21 a second chance-and I’m glad I did! While some items are better delegated to costume party wear, there are some real fashion gems, if you look hard enough.

Why F21? F21 is a great place to find trendy runway-inspired items that will likely only be in style for a season or two. Since you only spent $30 (instead of $300) on the neon skinny jeans or high-waisted skirt, for example, you will not feel obligated to wear them two years after they are no longer in style. F21’s clothing is often so similar to its runway counterparts that some designers, including Gwen Stefani’s Harajuka Lover’s line in 2007, have actually sued the company for copyright infringement.

Helpful Hints: As mentioned previously, the quality and style of clothing is variable, thus contributing to customers’ either devotion or disdain for the line. While the brick & mortar (B&M) store provides customers the opportunity to try on items, I prefer shopping F21 online, because the selection of clothing is broader & more organized. Additionally, while all in-store sales are final, items purchased online may be returned within 30 days of shipment, thus allowing you to match items with everything in your closet before deciding to keep them.

To avoid spending more than the average gasoline costs of driving to the store, I recommend ordering the required amount necessary to obtain free shipping, so you only incur return shipping costs, if you need to return an item. The appearance of items in-person sometimes differs, for better or for worse, from how they look online. I have placed some orders in which I fell in love with every single item and other orders in which I kept only one item.

However, I receive more compliments on F21 clothing than apparel from just about any other mainstream store. The selection is huge & updated daily (see “New Arrivals” section online), so you also have a much lower risk of seeing one of your friends with the same outfit. To maintain the quality of your F21 clothes, follow the washing instructions carefully, with hand-washing and/or delicate cycle (on cold) almost always recommended.

Costs: Few items, aside from winter coats, are priced greater than $40, with some basics such as t-shirts, priced as low as $3.50. The “Fabulous Finds” section highlights particularly great deals on the site.

F21’s lines: F21 currently has five major lines on its website, including Forever 21, Twelve by Twelve, Heritage 1981, Love 21, and faith 21. Forever 21 is the original line, and its uber trendy styles are geared primarily toward teens & young adults. Twelve by Twelve has a more mature couture style, while Heritage 1981 has a preppier look similar to American Eagle. Love 21 has a more classic and modest fit and is appropriate for women beyond the mid-20s age group. Finally, faith 21 is the trendy line for women wearing extended sizes.

Final Verdict: F21 offers a wide range of items-including shoes, accessories (hats, jewelry, fashion tights), and, of course, clothes. I highly encourage you check out the site for yourself, as there are items-from punk to preppy to super trendy-to meet anyone’s style preferences

Toilet Paper Brands – The Many Options

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Everyone uses toilet paper. If you are a grocery list maker, you likely add the words “toilet paper”, “TP” or “tp” to your shopping list without the brand name. There are many toilet tissue brands available in various plies, textures and costs. There are double rolls, mega rolls and single rolls. Even rolls with lotion or quilting are available to add comfort to the experience. Years ago, there was even toilet tissue available in a vast array of colors. Pink, blue, green and tan rolls could be purchased to match the decor of a powder room. Somehow the colored toilet tissue was transitioned off of the market quietly. Even though there are numerous choices to selecting your toilet paper brands, color is no longer one of them.

The history of toilet paper is quite interesting, and we can be thankful as a nation that we do not have to use corn cobs, newspapers, catalogs or even our hands as our ancestors have. The conveniences of indoor plumbing and soft tissue on a roll are wonderful inventions, and the many innovations have even made them better. With progress one can only imagine what is next.

There are toilet paper brands that are not as high quality as others, and this is something to be considered when you make your choice. If you are paying for a thin toilet tissue, you may end up using more per use and quite possibly not save any money in the long run. If you look for a sale on the popular toilet paper brands, you will be able to purchase a larger quantity of a more durable paper at a reasonable cost. Bathroom tissue is a good household item to stock up on, too. Make sure you store it in a dry place.

Finding an empty toilet paper holder requires the empty roll be discarded and a new roll placed on the holder. If you are the unlucky one to perform this task, it is not fun to find that there is not a replacement roll. Emergency replacement options like tissues, napkins and coffee filters are not intended to be flushed, so find a brand, a strength and cost that works for you and make sure you never run out of toilet paper again.

Horse Racing Systems Or Horse Racing Tipsters? Which Works Best to Find Those Winners?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

When betting on horses, many novice punters will start out by making their own selections. This usually leads to a hole in their bank balance before too long and they quickly realise that they need something extra to make their horse racing betting pay. The decision then becomes whether to use horse racing systems or horse racing tipsters or a combination of both.

There are numerous horse racing systems available and obviously some are better than others. It is possible to review some of these racing systems by looking on the internet to see what others are saying about them. In the end though, it is once again a matter of trial and error. Finding a horse racing system that actually works and one that provides a regular supply of winners can be a lengthy process, not to mention expensive!

The more astute punter may come to realise that they perhaps need some genuine information in order to find that elusive regular supply of winners. Such racing information however can also be hard to find. Unless you are prepared to spend months or even years building up contacts at the racecourse or within the racing stables, how do you go about accessing such racing information? This is where the search begins for a reliable horse racing tipster amongst all the horse racing tipsters out there. Once again, it can be a matter of trial and error.

The best advice may be to seek out horse racing tipsters who have been around for a number of years. At least then there is a better chance that their racing advice may be solid, as poor horse racing tipsters do not tend to keep their members for very long and soon go out of business.

So we can see that both methods of trying to find a horse racing winning formula can be either expensive or time-consuming or both. How then, do we overcome this problem in order to give ourselves the best chance of winning on a regular basis?

Like any other method of making money, betting on horse racing requires some knowledge. Gaining this knowledge can be a matter of burying your head in the form book for hours on end in order to at least begin the process of building up some statistics that may provide future winning bets. For many punters however, this can take years.

For many people, betting on horses is just a hobby and the occasional flutter is all that they are looking for. The more serious punter however will be looking for a good return on his investment. Horseracing betting like any other form of investment will have its winners and its losers. Therefore getting good advice from someone who has already experienced the pitfalls and learned from them can be the best way forward.

This being the case, you should try to find someone who can teach you some shortcuts with your horseracing betting and maybe supply you with some secrets, hints and tips that will allow you to speed up the process of making some profitable winning bets.

If you want your horseracing betting to be more than just a hobby then stop looking at horseracing systems and try to find a horseracing tipster that has been around for a while, can provide you with good advice to get started and one that provides a service you can rely upon. When you find a professional racing advisory service like this you will quickly abandon any thoughts of using horseracing systems and will instead come to rely upon a more profitable method of horseracing betting.

At http://www.ProPunterSecrets.com you can get a FREE 5 day mini course that will have you betting on horses like a professional. Pretty soon you will be betting on horses like the professional punters do!
