In today’s society, many things are influenced by children of the 90’s generation. Technology, clothes, education and more are formed to suit our needs. We have already changed the world, without putting forward the effort to do so. Imagine if teens spoke up, used the voices we were given, and say what’s on our minds, we can make an even bigger change in the world, which is why the best major a young person can choose is communications.
As a young child, we all have dreams of life with the perfect career. In some type of way, we want to impact the world, so we dream of being a fireman, an astronaut, or even a police officer. Even though we all don’t accomplish those dreams, or some change their career paths, there is a large portion of people who pursue those dreams.
Although, everyone’s dreams are different in some type of way, I think the most useful career is within an area of communication. When people communicate with each other, it bonds our minds together. People from across the world are connected by communicating with one another. With the bond that we all share, we can connect together and spread valuable information and change the world as we know it.
A career in communications can easily branch out, opening doors in politics, journalism, news anchoring and becoming a TV personality. Having a career such as those, offers a change and fresh ideas from an intelligent mind which is what we need. Giving world changing ideas is one of the benefits of majoring in communication, and a young idea only makes it better.
In the future, I plan to study communication, and become a news anchorman. Come fall of 2009, I will be on my journey to change the world with my voice; I will help change the world for the better. I want to be the voice of the young people, and help change society.
In overall communications, is a good way to get your voice heard, and get your ideas across the world. It’s about time young people take advantage of the career opportunities that are being given to them. This is how I plan to start making an impact on the world.
