Simple Secrets to Frizz Free Hair Everyday

Friday, April 9th, 2010

Looking presentable and sophisticated brings forth confidence, happiness and inspiration for yourself and other people. One way to do that is to keep your hair silky, shiny, fragrant and beautiful looking as it is considered as the crowning glory for men and women alike.

A daily care regimen that is more on the natural products, less chemicals and careful maintenance of the luster of each hair strand is absolutely necessary to have good hair. That is for the case of the majority of women suffering from frequent bad hair days, frizziness, damaged ends or wavy hair then you ought to try this moderately difficult technique of blow drying.

First of all you need to have a straightening cream, deep conditioner, shampoo, ant-frizz oils and heat protecting sprays that are made from natural substances rather than harsh chemicals. You also need to prepare hair styling products such as blow dryers and flat iron that made up of ionic or ceramic materials.

When you got all things prepared, you should wash your hair with the natural shampoo and then the deep hair conditioner afterward. Towel dry your hair after thorough rinsing and then apply the heat protecting spray concentrating on the tips of the hair.

Get a button sized hair straightening cream and apply it evenly through your hair. After that, set your blow dryer at its lowest power and use your fingers to comb through your hair while blow drying it. Use a good ceramic ionic blow dryer so you can have quick drying times and save on energy as well.
Next step is to divide the hair into 3-6 sections and choose one section to straighten at a time. Use a clip to keep other sections from falling off while you concentrate on one particular section first. For a good straightening result, use a thick round brush to comb your hair from the roots to the tips while blow drying your hair.

To prevent uneven drying or over drying, you should start blow drying the underside of the hair section first before alternating to the top part just when the hair retains enough moisture for it to shine. Remember that some hair dryers tend to result to uneven heating so ensure that you get a ceramic ionic hair dryer or just keep the pressure of hair dryer consistent as you go all sections.

When you have seen that one section is sufficiently straightened and dried you can then move on to the next section and repeat the same procedure as mentioned above. As simple as blow drying and using natural shampoo and conditioning products for your hair can give you great silky hair without the frizz.

How to Find the Perfect Hairdresser

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Finding a good hairdresser is not an easy task. Clients have told me they would rather find new gynecologist than a new hairdresser. My advice is to ask a woman with a great haircut who cuts her hair. You know who they are. Someone you just know would have a good hairdresser. Get the name of the stylist and the salon. Then schedule a consultation. A consultation is often free and good way to “try out” new locales.

Often people go to the stylist in a salon with the best haircut. The problem with that is that she didn’t cut her own hair, someone else did. If you think one of the staff in your salon has a great cut, ask who cuts her hair. Hairdressers expect good haircuts too, and they know who does the best cutting in the salon.

If you’re not sure if your hairdresser is best for you, try this:

* Brainstorm. Sit and think of women who always look great and write down their names then email or call them. They will be flattered I assure you.

* Check the yellow pages. Read the ads under Beauty Salons in your area. If you’re in a very small town, check in nearby towns if you’ve had no luck with the locals. Also check the nearest big city. Write down salons that appeal to you, not just by name, but also by the image of their ad. You are building a resource for your image here. It’s an important task.

* Internet shop. Search under beauty salons, salons, salonspas, makeovers, and haircutting. Try words like top, award-winning, and best.

* Check out sales associates in better apparel stores. Generally, these folks are more fashion forward and might have leads to someone they’d recommend. If you see someone in the mall or on the street who looks great and has a fantastic cut, stop her. Ask her where she goes. Write down the name of the stylist and the salon immediately and schedule that consultation.

If you’re very serious about finding the perfect hairdresser, try writing a personal letter to the owner or manager of a salon. Just calling will usually result in an answer such as “all our stylists are great.”

Explain your situation, your style, and that you want to start becoming a regular to that salon. Ask who they honestly would recommend for a woman with your hair type or situation. I want someone who listens. I want someone who will tell me what they think will be best. I want someone very creative and artistic. I want someone who does very precise work. If someone took the time to personally write me, it’s likely I’m going to have someone contact her with the name of the stylist I think would work best. If you find you’re not comfortable with that stylist, explain to the owner or manager why not. Then try someone else. We are here to work with you.

It isn’t easy to find the perfect hairdresser, but using the tips and tricks I’ve laid out, I hope that it is, at least, less frustrating.

Hair Care Tips and Routines

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Hi, before we talk about hair care, I think it would be better if we know the different hair types and identify which one you have. The possible types are normal, dry, oily and combinations. To find your type, you need to shampoo your hair a day before and press a tissue paper against the center scalp area of your head and beneath the ears. If you see oil on the tissue, your hair is an oily type and vice versa for a dry type. If you see oil on the scalp area and no oil beneath the ears, then your hair type is a combination one.

A normal hair is shiny, easy to manage and is healthy for about a week. An oily one is greasy, looks good for a day or two, have more dandruff and is non attractive. A dry hair is lifeless even after a shampoo treatment, more itchy and falls regularly. A combination hair inherits both dry and greasy textures, needs constant shampooing and does not set easily.

After figuring out your type, we need to know the basic routines that would make your hair look great. The routine contains

1. Sulfate free shampoo
2. Hair conditioner
3. Purifying shampoo
4. Deep Conditioner
5. Heat protector

While choosing a shampoo, make sure its sulfate free as it dries out hair, make it weak and cause damage over a long term use. People with colored hair need to be more careful as sulfate drip out moisture and in some cases even strip out hair color. After shampooing, applying conditioners aid in hydrating and repairs damaged hair. It is also best to skip the shampoo routine once a week and try out the purifying shampoo. It removes all the shampoo buildup and really helps the conditioner to soak into hair, saturate and will really improve the hair condition. Using a deep conditioner once a month is also highly recommended. The last and final routine is the heat protector which straightens and protects your hair from excess heat. So, if you are going to follow this hair routine, your hair is going to look much healthier and you will feel as confident as ever.

The Advantages of Natural Hair Shampoo

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

While hundreds of shampoos continue to rise on the market, every six months or so, customers will switch to some different brand just to see if they are better. For example, when hair stylists ask clients what they use on a regular basis many times the answer will be, “well you know many times I use both the A brand and the B brand.” Constantly switching back and forth won’t solve the problem that’s been rooted in so many of us since birth.

Perhaps you’re looking for something that cleanses more gently than others and strengthens every strand of hair without breaking down the follicle. When most people hear the word ‘natural’ they will sometimes regard it as cliche because they believe their own shampoo is the most natural thing out there but it’s just not light weighted. This belief is so ignorant because harmful chemicals are added to even the most expensive lines of shampoo!

Remember how I mentioned something about the hair follicle? Well, yes, your hair isn’t made of wood, it’s delicate therefore, you should really begin to think about what you are applying to your hair. A lot of the additives used in shampoos today are some of the same exact additives used in surface cleaners, and so much more. Now if you don’t want this terrible stuff in your hair why do you continue using them?

Knowledge is the key and using a natural hair shampoo is the best thing you could ever do for your hair and it’s just as simple as that. Sadly many of the worlds riches manufacturers don’t really care about the dangers in chemicals that will destroy your hair’s natural texture. It’s time for you to realize that organic products are just as good and far better than many of those popular name brands.

Natural hair shampoo is a solution that gently cares for the hair and makes the hair even more manageable and healthy. The advantages in these wonderful shampoos are in their high quality of botanicals, extracts, vitamins, and healthy nutrients. Everything that grows naturally in the earth should be used in all of our personal care products!

Finally, over the past century we have lost those simple values of natural remedies that create perfect cleansing and moisturizing results. Cleanliness doesn’t have to be harmful to the body. Accept other alternatives that will help you feel so much better. Now if you want more information on natural hair shampoos just click on the link below.

Want Long Hair But Can’t Grow Your Own – What About Hair Extensions?

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Always wanted long hair but never had the patience to wait for your hair to grow to the desired length? Well you can get beautiful long hair reasonably easy with hair extensions however you should know a little bit about the hair extension process before you go ahead and get the extensions done. You also need to make sure you allow plenty of time for getting hair extensions, they take a long time to do and the costs can be very high so make sure you check out what options are best for you, when you are likely to have the required time, and the costs involved.

Shop around for different prices for different options but make sure that you are still using someone to do the extensions, whichever way they do them that have experience. Otherwise you may find that within a couple of days you are going to have to cut them out anyway.

There are different types of extensions, synthetic and natural or human hair extensions. It is believed that human hair extensions are much easier to take care of than any synthetic options. You should also make sure you are aware of how extensions are applied to your original hair. First of all the process should be painless.

In some cases you will find that a braid made with your own hair around the back of your head in the middle of the hair and the extensions are literally sewn to this braid. The braids are placed in the middle of your head so that the hair above covers the braid and the added hair extensions. These kinds of extensions will need to be checked around 6 to 8 weeks at which time they will need to be redone as your hair will, or should have grown, during that period and you don’t want the braid visible.

Another alternative for hair extensions is what is called Hot Fusion. This is when the extensions are glued to your head, make sure that this is completed by a professional cosmetologist as this is an art and you cannot do this yourself. Apart from the obvious fact that you do not have eyes in the back of your head or arms that reach all the way around you are dealing with glue here and attempting to do this yourself would be a mistake. These kinds of extensions are supposed to last for around 4 months, as long as you are taking care of them of course.

Remember that any extensions are not real hair that can re-grow so be careful with any curling irons or straightening tools as well as your hair dryer. If you get the hair hot it is very likely it will frizzle up and break off then your only options are to go and get your new long here cut and what would be the point of that.

Caring for hair extensions is exactly the same process as caring for your own hair, though if you were unable to grow your hair long previously due to a lot of breakage or so on then perhaps you need to take better care of your original hair and you may find that if you are not caring for your hair the extensions will not last as long as you had hoped.

You should make sure that you wash condition and moisturize your hair, as well as the extensions, approximately every 3 days. The extensions cannot obtain the moisture that your scalp produces and therefore you must ensure that you are using a further moisturizer to maintain the extensions. If you don’t moisturize regularly to retain the beauty of the hair then the hair extensions will start to dry up and break off. So take care of your expensive new beautiful hair go out and show it off.
